I was born in Massachusetts on April 7 (same day, month & year as my partner, Zane). I have 7 amazing brothers and sisters. At the age of two, my parents uprooted the family and moved us across the country to Boise, Idaho. I attended grade school all the way up through college (Boise State and the Idaho State University.) My major was Theater and the Performing Arts and I spent alot of time traveling around doing summer stock and repertory theater.
I ended up in Seattle, Washington. A cattle call audition for a walk-on role changed my mind about the whole theater business, and besides I had fallen in love and knew there was no future for us if I remained a 'migrant worker.' So, I settled down in Seattle and in 1980 I went to 'Beauty College' and the Factory of Visual Arts. That is when I began pursuing my art career.
My art career has blossomed here in the desert working at Silica Studios in ceramic Sculpture and painting in my free time. The Artwall Project at Streetbar has given me opportunity to meet and work with amazing local artists, coordinating monthly shows and supporting local charities.
My husband Zane and me moved to Palm Springs in 1999 . We have two great pups, Cossimo (bull terrier) and Shirley (Bassett). We are blessed with wonderful friends and family. I am general manager of Streetbar and Zane manages The Arenas Coin op next door. We celebrate 18 years together and 14 at Streetbar in 2014. I'm behind the bar Tuesday-Friday 4-8pm. Come in and cocktail darlin'...

I was born in 1968 in the town of Janesville WI,I was a good kid for the most part, with the exception of the 3 tickets for being in a city park after hours,4 tickets for underage drinking,oh and there was that one for hitting a parked car(not under the influence, which makes it an even stupider act).
I made my move to Palm Springs in the summer of '99 and have been working at Streetbar since November of "99. I quickly earned the nickname "M.C.", those that have been regulars at Streetbar know what this stands for,and I live up to it.
I am an avid music lover and artist (when I'm feeling particularly creative).I have had two successful art shows at Streetbar, helping The Streetbar Artwall Project to raise money for The Aids Assistance Project.
My hours at Streetbar are: Monday thru Thursday 10 am- 4 pm......Come say Hi and harrass me a bit,if you can handle the harrassment back!!!

Hi Everyone: I was born Febuary 21,1959 in Edmond, Oklahoma. I left home at 18 years old and moved to Dallas, Texas and went to work at The Hyatt. I left Dallas after only a few months when a couple of close friends convinced me to move with them to Aspen, CO. to become ski bums. While bartending a Christmas party in Aspen I meet a man that lived in Houston, Texas but also owned a condo in Aspen. He asked me if I would be interested in moving to Houston and work for him as his houseboy. So off to Houston I went knowing I would be back in Aspen often with him.
While I was living in Houston I decided to try modeling. So I started modeling and doing some print work for newspaper ads and magazines and also the fashion segments on the morning news. While on a modeling job I was approached to do some extra work on a new movie they were shooting in Pasadena, TX. Of course I jumped a the chance to work on a movie. The movie was Urban Cowboy with John Travolta. Later I meet a man that lived in the same building as us and we hit it off and he said he was moving back to New York City and said he would like for me to come with him to New York and work as his assistant. I had never been to New York and I was hoping that I could get signed with a modeling agency in New York so I said yes. So off to the Big Apple I went. After being in New York for a while the modeling thing didn't go as well for me. I couldn't find an agent that was interested in me. But that's all right I had really become bored with the whole modeling thing.
The man I was working for in New York introduced me to Gloria Swanson. She was an old friend of his from Hollywood. She asked me to come to work for her as her assistant. What could I say but yes? How could you turn down a chance to work for a Hollywood legend like Norma Desmond? I eventually moved back to Dallas and managed two bars there Village Station and JR's Bar & Grill. I was in Dallas for five years and then decided to go west. I moved to Los Angeles in 1990 and worked on movie sets part time. But I needed something full time so I applied with Catalina Video and was hired. I moved to Palm Springs three years ago and meet Dick Haskamp and he gave me the privilege of working at Streetbar as one of his bartenders.
I still worked for Catalina Video as a Director and cameraman and editor until January 2006. Now I am bartending at Streetbar and doing freelance video work. So come on by and have a drink with me. Chuck

Hello,
My name is Conrad Riley. I was born on April 23, 1946 in Keyser West Virginia, but was raised in Maryland. After High school and College I worked in Washington D.C. I moved to L.A. in 1972 and worked there until 1981 at which time I went to Saudi Arabia to work for two years. I returned to L.A. and stayed until 1995 when I moved to Palm Springs and opened Mail Box Plus (a postal store) until 2008. I sold the business and retired.
I have been coming to Palm Springs for weekends since 1972. I have been a patron of Streetbar since its inception. I met my partner of 6 years, Steve, on the patio at Streetbar. I have been working at Streetbar since June of 2008 and much thanks to Dick (the greatest boss in the world) after 62 years I finally found a job I like.
Come join me for a cocktail on the patio.

Hello everyone! Welcome to the Streetbar. I was born on June 15, 1968. I grew up in Esondido, CA along with my 2 brothers and 3 sisters. I’m the middle brother or the “Peter Brady” in the group.
I was very active in sports and student government at Orange Glen High. After graduating, I packed up my bags and moved north and attended college at Chico State University. I got my first bartending gig there. I worked and La Fonda Mexican Restaurant across the street from campus. Being a bartender at the number 1 party school in the country was a blast! Always busy, always crazy, and always a good story at the end of every shift. And I loved it all!
After graduating from Chico, (6½ years later!) I moved overseas working for the Pacific Islands Club. I lived on the islands of Guam and Saipan. I taught tennis and windsurfing to the resort guests, and sang and danced in the nightly shows. It was a 6 month contract. But I had such a great time I stayed for 3 years.
Moving back to San Diego I worked as a restaurant manager for the Claim Jumper Restaurant and also for Daphne’s Greek Café. After a few years, I needed a change. That’s when I moved to the desert. I have been a resident here in Palm Springs for 4 years now. I met my partner Eric here. We have been together for 3 years and we have a boy! He’s our dog George!
I first landed a bartending job at the Rainbow restaurant. The day after the place closed it’s doors, I walked across the street, met with David and Dick, and was hired that day. I’ve been working here at the Streetbar for ever since and I LOVE it! I am honored to work at this bar and with this crazy group of guys. I bartend Friday nights and Sunday days, and cocktail Monday and Tuesday nights. So come on down to the Streetbar and say hello… I’ll be the one in costume or the guy laughing…you can’t miss me! Cheers!

Hey Everybody, I’m Billy Wilson! I was born in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, NY on July 2nd, 1959 and raised on Long Island. I have lived almost all of my life a short distance from the craziness & fun of NYC!
I attended Niagara University and received my degree in Theatre Arts with a concentration in Shakespearean Theater. This led to acting jobs from children’s theater to “off-off-Broadway” to a tour withThe National Shakespeare Co. that took me to 27 states!
My love of theater also led to a long term gig as a singing bartender at Blanche, a tres Gay Piano Bar on L.I. and a “secret life” as a Carol Channing impersonator. The latter persona helped raise hundreds of thousands for AIDS charities!
I am a “sportsaholic” and huge NY Mets & Giants fan as well as an avid cook who loves eating as much as creating!
On Jan. 1st 2013 my partner, Jay, and I got in a rental truck to start our “new life” here in Palm Springs! Less than a month later I had the great fortune of becoming a part of the family at Street Bar, a place that I am thrilled to be! Please come on down and say hi!
Hi Everybody!
My name is Jerry Heger and I’ve been at Streetbar since January of 2012. I’ve lived in Palm Springs since the Fall of 2010 when I moved here from Des Moines, Iowa. I was previously employed at Qwest Communications (now Centurylink) for almost 32 years and retired from there in August 2009. Since I started at Qwest (then Northwestern Bell Communications) at age 18 I never had a chance to go to college so in 2003 I took the plunge. I earned a BA in Business Administration from William Penn University in May 2007 and now have students loans to pay until I’m 77 years old LOL. It was great to go to college in my 40s and all that studying revitalized my brain after years of being in a corporate environment.
I was born on March 4, 1959 (Pisces) in Des Moines, Iowa where I lived my entire life (except for a few years in Ames, Iowa) until I moved to Palm Springs. I had visited Palm Springs many times since my 20s but had never considered moving anywhere until my early retirement. I had a few friends in Palm Springs and came to stay for the winter 2009-2010. Before I returned I had already decided to move here. It’s been one of the best decisions of my life.
I love to travel and have been in nearly 40 states and 20 countries with California being my favorite state and Australia being my favorite country. Both have the weather, atmosphere, scenery, and friendly people I love.
I normally work Tues, Wed, Fri, and Sat bartending or cocktailing.
Stop into the Best Bar with the Friendliest Staff in Palm Springs to say Hi!

He lives in another country known as Missouri. I met my partner and best friend Conrad 6 yrs ago (yes the same week I arrived here) at Streetbar on the patio. When I am not working I do enjoy an Adult Beverage with friends.
